Tuesday - continued

Goodness (and other words starting with the preceding letter of the alphabet) this a hard, the software is flaky. Looks like I will have to write shorter posts but a couple each day. Anyway a very stressful 15 mins getting to work out how much of this evening's work has actually been saved.

Now, where was I, oh, almost finished. So let's wrap this up quickly

A random island shot
and a reminder of how remote it can get
It's gone 4pm and drizzling so a couple of last stops, an old crofter's shieling (go Google, I'm too tired to explain)
Suffice it to say it was tiny and draughty. To think that they preferred these in the summer to their traditional blackhouses (more on those tomorrow I hope) illustrates how grim blackhouses must have been

Final stop, retrace some of yesterday's route to get fuel. On the island diesel is cheaper than petrol, no it's not red diesel. And at £1.499 a litre it's cheaper than on the mainland.

For some bizarre reason my GPS logger stopped today, Google Timeline was useless so I recreated the journey
As I said earlier it was all there and back routes but a rough calculation suggests just a bit over 70 miles
